Ah, Incurable Dreamer.......

Cheeky Missy

Kicked in the stomach...doubled up on your face....
Crying in the dust now...alone in disgrace....
Bewildered you stare dully at nothing,
Your eyes with tears glazed which once were sparkling,
Shaking your head now as if to clear fog,
Hurting and bruised by the truth which now dogs,
You try to get up...you stumble and fall....
Lay your head down...close your eyes until dawn;
Forget all in sleep....awake next refreshed....
Tomorrow's a new chance...you'll dream again....
'Tis just how it goes until you give up,
Putting away dreams, forever Truth love.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Yeah, it is ME. Incurable? dreamer.....and well, Reality can't be escaped forever. When your dreams turn out to be lies, this is how it feels......amazing how it can "feel" so like this when it is only a dream in the face of the truth.

    A nightmare for the protagonist but a dream of a poem. Very expressive.
