"Too Busy?" (pt II)

Cheeky Missy

Oh no! I've lost your friendly lines?!
Please say tain't true....'tis just a lie!
You're just too busy, what with all
You must prepare for distant fall...?!

    I meant to write you long ago,
    But this-n-that came up, you know;
    And what with things to do each day,
    Spring's gone and summer's 'most away!

I'd not forgot you, gave you time
To busy be and then to write;
But I am owing you, that's all,
You haven't writ'n....it's my fault.

    I must confess I could not think
    Of much to write you....that's what stinks....
    But I am desp'rate now, you know,
    So here I come with little in tow,

To see if you are still quite fine,
And how you've spent all this long time.
Apologies in this I send,
Just knowing that we still are friends;

    And you will send some lines I know,
    For that is how it always goes.
    To break this cycle would be nice...
    But until then, late come my lines.
