About The Girl

Josh Taylor

I try to keep my mind on my work,

But without me noticing my mind starts to lurk.

I try to keep my mind on whatever I play,

However hard i try, my thoughts start to stray.

I attempt to concentrate on the new language I'm learning,

But this opportunity, my brain is spurning.

The teacher at the front is desperately trying to educate,

But I simply won't let myself take the bait.

Whoever said its easy to keep oneself occupied,

In relation to you, undoubtedly and most definitely lied.

There is not a day you aren't with me in body and soul,

Thinking of you is out of my control.

Keeping you out of my head is an impossible task,

My thoughts about you are too difficult to mask.

Writing these silly sonnets keeps me sane,

Because missing you feels like being hit by a train.

At times I find it a struggle to cope,

Dreaming of a future with you is what gives me hope.

So keep me in mind for the next year or two,

Because I'm coming back and I'm crazy about being with you.

Oh wow! This one is VERY sweet! I love it! And hope she loves you too. It is excellent in all its varied descriptions of your consuming passion for her. I like it very well!
