I wish I could more readily
This earthly love let fly;
And ever in true righteousness
The flesh and lusts deny.
You speak of hope and better things
Than most can see down here.
For aye, the things of which You speak
Cannot be seen from here.
Except we ope the Word of God
And in Him e'er abide,
And thus behold the heavenly joy
That fools do now deride.

Oh to be saved indeed. Wonderful poem. I can relate to this poem in particular. Like the vulgar poems I make and trying to be saved. I take for granted what I already have and live for selfish reasons when I should really be living for God. One day I'll get my act together though. This poem is kinda like a first step in a way. Like me admitting my problem. Great poem. Makes me think.
Sweet. Thanks alot for what you've said, for understanding a bit.....it is a real cry....of mine.
