As it may see

My world for you is but a dream

An ocean wave

A mountain stream

My world for you can never be

While waters flow in to the sea

My love for you as it may seem

Is morning dew

And river’s gleam

My love for you for all to see

Like rain drops falling from a tree

I hold my love for you so fine

As moistures lay upon the vine

I hold my love for you so dear

While memories form a loving tear

As you sail within my hopeful dreams

I hold my love for you, it seems.

It is almost bittersweet, but it is sweet. I quite like your similes. It's a delightful poem, in spite of the sorrow.
