Broken and bruised,

Battered and used,

Hopeless and cold,

Lies start to unfold,

Alone and dying,

She’s so sick of trying,

This world is ending,

Her heart needs mending,

The smiles are fake,

They’re for her families sake,

She hates when they ask “What’s wrong?”

To explain would take too long,

The song of death is such a sweet melody,

Would she ever find a remedy?

For her broken heart,

In life, she just wants a brand new start,

A way to start again,

A tangled web of lies she begins to spin,

She tells them she’s okay,

But she thinks about him everyday,

How he broke her heart in two,

There is nothing anyone can do,

She lives in bitter silence,

Wishing she could escape the violence,

That plays with her head,

All day, she lays in bed,

And her life, she wants it to end,

Death is like a long lost friend,

Comforting her in its wispy gown,

That in which she just may drown,

And death will carry her away,

She won’t have to live another day…

Excellent....you've described the love-broken heart so well! If only truth would step in, take her hand, and lead her to the brighter day, instead of the lies that are taking her very life.

My poems very rarely end well... People say that they'd rather have my poems end badly than my life. (:
