And I'm Ok

Jennifer Teresa Nunes

How could we let it get this way?
Of all we have done
But now I know the truth
And I’m ok with losing you

So many memories
and photographs of you and me
But you made me face the fear alone
And I’m ok now that you’re gone

Please don’t argue, please just leave
Close the door behind and give me the keys
Said you'd be better without me but too blinded to see
The things that made you happy, the something we’d be.

So I don’t want to hear your voice, your words, your thoughts, your choice.
All on your own, do what you know
Silence brings truth
And I’m ok with losing you.

Wow. You've described it very well. It hurts but holds it's quivering chin high because the sweetness turned bitter and something died, but "life" has to go on.
