Secret Keeper

Dolphine29

Have you heard a whisper?

The ones we keep

The ones we lock

But forever live

I can see your heart

The secrets inside

Grasping the love

That compels within

Safe and warm

It shines and grows,

Molds and turns,

Scrap and complains

Secret keeper

Let it out

Tell your heart

What you need to hear

Just keep it safe

Until is yours no more

And safely faiths away

To keep you locked

No more

The picture is so perfect for it. And your comment about it made it mean so much more. It is a reflective, almost bittersweet, but sweet piece, tender and loving. I appreciated that you classified it as "forgiveness" for that lent a different angle on it than I initially had. I enjoyed this poem....and look forward to more of your work!

Thank you so much 🙂 My grandma has been a very private person and sometimes has been hard to know her real self. So it's almost like a keeper; she keeps most of the love she feels inside. But I know she loves us and well it sort of put it together. So again I really apreciate your comment. Also You are very talented and nice writer, very sweet, so I would like very much to read more of your poems too. 😉 take care.

Thank you for all you've said regarding the poem...it makes the poem all the more valuable with the meaning behind it....a very nice tribute to your reserved grandmother! Thanks again!

i really liked the way you chronologically put down the verses, and that too without cutting short the rhythmic pattern of the poem.
