I don’t want to spend Christmas
Drinking tasty wine
And dancing with beautiful women
I don’t believe in the theory of
Enjoying a day very merrily
And the other day worriedly
Jesus lived and died
For certain divine values
LOVE
PEACE
MERCY
KINDNESS
SACRIFICE
AND FORGIVENESS
The values I cherish
Because only they make me flourish
Or else I will perish
Let’s all the eternal principles nourish

It is interesting since you began the piece with such an image that your poem follows as if contradicting it. Ya, and what do you think of Swami Vivekananda's teachings? I think he was instrumental in bringing Hinduism to the "West" and into modern "Christianity," perverting the gospel. I thought of this seeing you here honor a "Jesus" without realizing that God's salvation, while supposedly promoting such virtues, does not really yet is so inescapably necessary, since we are all condemned to perish for our sins, and without His sacrifice and saving us, these virtues are naught. I liked this piece and hope my comment is not offensive, dear elder brother. (Besides so far as I can see, the Word of God condemns Christmas as a heathen UNgodly Unacceptable holiday anyway....in fact, having thus said, I confess it is abominable to me to even connect the Lord Jesus Christ of the Bible at all with the holiday of Christmas and your initial stanza condemning celebrating it with debauchery is actually the fitting way to celebrate it...it is not at all anything other than a devilish holiday, that I know of.)
Dear Cheeky, Your wisdom astonishes me.I like your integrity and straitforwardness.I am not good at theology like you.I have very good native english speaking christian sisters like you who are my strength.Paradoxically I am Hindu but English and the English always fascinate me.I am never offended by your comments. Thanks a lot for reading all my poems and making comments and awarding points too.
yours JVL
