You chased me back to the corner I lived in
I know you hate me its a given
Skate my love away
Cupid aint shot no more arrows this way
She play golf with my heart just tees away
Feeling like a lost stray
A canoe with no patal stuck at bay
Left a nigga speechless with nothing to say
No happy ending no fairy tale dreams
Those are just movies
And love its a imagine on the screen
I bottle it all in till my brain starts to scream
Pops open and spills out its hidden secrets
Things needed to be let go
Things that had the body moving slow
Crushed by your words hurt by your actions
It was once different but hey shit happens
No animosity here things look different
Feel different and sound different
Wondering if this will be found different
Or will it stay the same
I see the path now that my eyes are clear
I was gone say your such a B word but that's cause your beautiful babe
I always knew you had a sneaky trait
You knew I love fishing and you used cute girls as the bait
but I was always a step ahead of you and never a second late
I don't mean to crush hearts or let them break
Damn sure didn't see mine cracking
I know you won this victory you over there laughing
Yeah you hit rite before the thunder that's why my lifes flashing
Thought I made it out this jungle
Tired off chasing prey it seems like such a big struggle
So I'll choke up and take the lose
I guess love is not meant when your trust has been lost
So this is something to remember its always good to be a learner
This just in now that I'm back in the corner

Wow. Poignant. Excellent! I loved it, but it made me almost want to cry. Wow. I am really impressed with all the images your metaphors created...very fascinating depiction. You drew it all so very well. Excellent!
thanks this was something i just recently went thru
And as usual experience proved excellent inspiration....though I am very sorry to hear that you have thus suffered and so lately too. Wish I could somehow ease the pain, but the penning it down probably did more than my feeble words ever could.
