Trevor’s Little Squirrel

Katrina

Every time you sit near me all you hear is a little giggle,
All of a sudden when you look up I’m over here doing a wiggle.
I cannot help it and I cannot stop,
If you want me to then reach over my head and give me a bop.
You tell me all about your little friend the squirrel,
I bet when you give him a nut he goes on a whirl.
After you give him two nuts they fill up his jaw,
Man oh man when he gets home he has a ball.
I’d say by now when you go to bed,
You dream about the squirrel in your shed.
Whenever you go to the park,
You sure can hear those squirrels bark.
They are cute and tiny with a big bushy tail,
I wish I had a little pet squirrel, but oh well.

Reminds me of the time, when a child, that I thought I would catch me a squirrel for my pet, 'round about dinner time......I was actually rather successful, nearly able to grab him, for he finally barred his teeth at me, but the dinner bell ringing for me, escaped up back into his tree.
