Consider This When You Complain

Cheeky Missy

Consider this as you complain
That you like not your lot:
That YOU did not yourself create....
The One Who did is....God.

And you are for HIS purpose made,
Not for your own. How odd,
That you might figure on YOUR way,
Instead of finding GOD's!

Lift up your eyes when you complain,
And seek the Lord above;
Who for your life His own Life gave,
And all for His great love.

That you are for HIS purpose made
And not your own's not odd.
For you did not yourself create......
The One Who did is GOD!

    this poem reminded me of a girl I onced cared for in a Christ centered camp. She was 8 and had no parents left to live from foster home to foster home she visted us for one week and as I was showing her the love of God she shared a favorite verse of hers- do everything without fault finding or complaining. i don't remember the address. You don't know how that changed my life coming from an orphan a sweet and gentle yet strong little girl. thnx for reminding me !!!!!!! loved it!

      'Thank you very much for your comment....I appreciate it very much! Thanks for what you shared....it is so wonderful she knew the Bible, hopefully she is contentedly serving the Lord wherever He puts her. I think the verse is something like, "Do all things without murmerings and disputings: that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; holding forth the Word of life;....." Phil 2:14-16a...which interestingly comes right after the verse that it is God Which works in you to will and to do of His good pleasure. Thanks again, very much for you thoughtful comment....I quite appreciated it!
