Catching up (child’s play)

jazmine zillmer

 In a dream

I see the seasons changing

a butterfly waits just beyond the limits I know.

Should I reach for it?

As time thinks through it all,

  I  begin to see change.

The change in me, and what i see.

as time goes on.

As my view changes,

drifts apart and then together

 catching up to one another.

As I sit,

in this dream

seeing shades beyond

mine and your imagination

I have an urge,

 Just a kiss

of what can be fulfilled

Will I do it?

Can I catch up?

Fascinating.....and a perceptive perspective on growing up, seems to little me. You depicted it excellently with your allusion to seasons and a butterfly! I quite enjoyed it. (PS "fulfilled"? in the third line from the bottom?)
