The treasures of life

SauravRHS

My pal learnt that he was adopted,

It entirely displaced his senses,

To forsake his home, he was prompted

But he apprehended the places.

I was totally concerned for him;

And fatally broke all of it to-

My daring mother, my stomach churned

Our friendship hatched in pieces two.

I turned towards possibilities

And searched it thoroughly for the keys;

I could find none, save a horrid one-

By giving him away, I had won.

But that gave me none the more pleasure,

And my misery had no measure!

  • Comment from author about the poem: This isn't a very good poem but I had written it for my friend, Rahul. It carries its message through easily and I have just put it up here for you all to know that friends, above all, are the treasures of life.
