I told my mom I hardly knew you,
So I couldn't really care;
Then just why are my feet dragging
For I find my heart is....where?
Goodbye should be so easy;
Afterall, it's just begun.
Then why do I shrink off from this---
Wasn't just a taste enough?
It happened all too readily,
The time we had was sweet.
And now that I must bid adieu
My careless words I eat:
I didn't know how much I cared,
Until this moment came;
You were too sweet...it was too short;
Though I barely know your name.
Goodbye, it's difficult to say,
But I must bid adieu;
It was short-lived and far too sweet...
I will remember you....
When it doesn't hurt so badly.
