Broken Love

Emi

Can a broken heart be mended?

Can eternal tears be ever dried?

Seldom can one achieve such a goal

Though certainly many have tried

Can permanent scars ever heal?

Can a heart’s death be undone?

Powerful certainly is love’s spell

But now hatred’s curse has won

Broken hearted tears are spilt

The heart’s scars ruthlessly burn

Broken record memories live on

Though reality refuses to return

The peaceful dawn; the bright day

Have come perhaps to bring content

The dimming dusk; the dark night

Have come only to pain and torment

Broken glass thrust in quivering grasp

Happiness and regard far out of sight

So now, can a broken heart be mended,

When a broken love is certain to ignite?

.... This really made me sad....
You know how I said that your poems all give off an aura? This one make me feel as if my boyfriend (who happens to be imaginary at this point) just ripped out my heart (ooh, violent) and threw it onto the ground; where it smashed into pieces....
You seriously have a gift, my friend.
