I want to play in a band with a crazy name
Dancing along, disregarding the fame
I play for the sake of the music and the joy
Not for admiration from each girl and boy
I want to sing like the birds always sing
Totally immersed in the songs they bring
No matter what day of week or time of day
No matter what people think or what they say
I’ll keep on dancing though I’ve never learned
If I dance to the rhythm of life, the bliss is well-earned
I’ll stumble and fall; I’ll definitely get offbeat
But I’ll just brush myself off and get back on my feet
For every day is a song; it is your choice to sing along
If you don’t, I won’t chastise or say that you’re wrong
But certainly it is your loss if silence is your choice
For then the melody of life and love is missing your voice
