Enchantment

Emi

The landscape, trees, and hills

Quickly lost behind our car

Giving me shivers and chills

As I wistfully watch from afar

Quickly lost behind our car

There are enchanted domains

As I wistfully watch from afar

Their king bravely reigns

There are enchanted domains

Hidden in the hills and trees

Their king bravely reigns

The magic blows in the breeze

Hidden in the hills and trees

Wonders are waiting to be found

The magic blows in the breeze

If you would only just look around

Wonders are waiting to be found

Enchantment is far and wide

If you would only just look around

On each and every car ride

Enchantment is far and wide

So I gaze longingly at it all

On each and every car ride

Winter, summer, spring, and fall

So I gaze longingly at it all

Yet I notice a distressing trend

Winter, summer, spring, and fall

All car rides must come to an end

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is another poem for another figment contest. I had to write something to do with a car ride so, yeah. :) It's a pantoum, by the way.

Thanks. 🙂 You should - it's really fun. A bit more challenging at times, but fun.
