How it Happened.....

Cheeky Missy

We thought we'd hang the laundry out
Although 'twas very overcast;
No sooner had it been pinned up
But rain came pouring down, and fast!

So down again came all the wash,
Yet how to bring it back indoors
With drenching rain in sheets like that?
Just wait below the tree of course!

And so I did....quite happily.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Only too true. By the way, it's the intro to the next sonnet....posted tomorrow, hopefully. P.S. There was no lightning so it was a safe umbrella.

        Ya, hahaha, if there had been, I'd have been in big trouble, eh?! Instead I had the great pleasure of standing out in it, safely dry and happily observing.
