A RELATIONSHIP BORN

lynn

Daylight is breaking through
And my thoughts drift towards you
Wondering if you slept well
As you lay there in your cell.

I said my morning prayers
As I did I prayed for you as well
I pray your day is full of
Peace,Joy,and Happiness
I pray you don't
Fell like your living in Hell.

This man I write
I do not fear
For he appears to be Sincere
As he goes the day along
Almost as if his heart
Carries a special song.

I pray for the day we can meet
Perhaps beside me you'll take a seat
I know your greeting will be warm
And maybe just maybe
A relationship can be born.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is for my brother whom I've never meet face to face. We were seperated at birth. I tracked him down about 8 yrs ago. We have been writing ever since. Soon he will be a free man. I pray he stays on the right paths and that God will guide him with His Loving Mercy and watch over my brother as he learns to rebuild his life."ONE DAY AT A TIME!"

I'm not sure that Spirital was the right category however, this is my prayer for my brother, and that's why I choose this category.
Hope you all enjoy the poem. I sent it to my brother. Hope he enjoys it as well.

Thanks Anna, Yes he did read it. I had a friend of mine write it out in calogrphy and I sent it to him as well. He said he reads it everyday. He made some mistakes when he was younger, and I am willing to give him a second chance as we try to bond and form a relationship. It will be crazy to be able to b e with my tein after all these years. We look so much alike it is rather scary. 🙂 and my son looks just like him. Have a super day! May the sun be shining where ever you are.
