Twister (a lento)

diamonddagger

twister on the outskirts of time lead the
mister forward on toward the place where he
kissed her with passion and delight until his
sister came out and ruined all that could be

brother or not, she could not rule his life
mother would not approve, but she was dead
smother the instinct to be so protective, find
another to drive into the ground with dread

lento's are not easy but are a fun form. this one was a fun and intriguing read.

A novel form I am presently entirely unfamiliar and utterly unacquainted with, it presents, nonetheless, an interesting tale of love's heady highs and subsequent chagrin, as little Sis ruined the fun. Very interesting with great imagery. Thanks for sharing.

I love form poetry. I like the lento which was invented by Lencio Rodrigues. Actually, my favorite form is the pantoum. I have written a few of those. They are easier than the lento. You can make double and triple lentos. I make triple haikus also. I know it is unconventional but a poet has leniency nowadays called the modern haiku. I have been enjoying reading your poetry. Thanks for becoming my friend. diamond (Linda)
