The Wild Deer

diamonddagger

I want to ride
a wild deer
it's been my dream
for many a year
it would be
a ride so wild
I've dreamed of it
since I was a child
holding on to
antlers tall
gripping tight
so I won't fall
deep in the woods
we'd travel yonder
we'd be one
as the deer did wander
in the valley and up the hills
my life would then
be filled with thrills

Wow.. That's childhood's dreamy sense coming to the fore to thrill afresh with yearnings left unsatisfied. Lovely and beautifully rendered with excellent imagery; thought-provoking, more especially since I never imagined such a wild adventure, yet at the mere suggestion thus invitingly whispered, wouldn't half mind joining. Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed it.

Thanks Jenny! It is one of my fantasies left over from the first time I saw a deer as a child. It was flying across a pasture and I wanted to be on top of it holding the antlers riding away to parts unknown. LOL

Thank you baj-a for the nice comment. I have always wanted to ride a deer but, I am sure the deer wouldn't want me to be on it's back. LOL
