far away
to a place that I cannot be found
a place I cannot reserve visits
I want to fly away
to a town, city or country
where I am unknown
where no one wants to discover me

to a place that doesn't ask me for my past
but smiles at my present
and embraces my future

from all my hidden pasts
from all my hidden pains
and from all my hidden worries

just far enough to see my nest only as a speck
where I have a fresh start
and a vibrant present

HI LADY K - Thanks for sharing a very inspirational poem ! So often in times of sadness we pray "Oh that i had the wings of a Dove so I could fly far far away and start anew !" I love all the sentiments in your poem - it echoes thoughts i sometimes have ! To be unknown - to forget the past - lose my hidden pains & worries and have a vibrant present !
