TO STAY - OR NOT TO STAY ? - UK EUROPE REFERENDUM

BRIAN & ANGELA

To leave the UK in

To take the UK out

Have a referendum

And shake it all about 

What will the outcome be ?

DAVID wants us IN

BORIS wants us OUT

UKIP are Little Englanders 

That's without a doubt

What will the outcome be ?

It's a question of security

A question of free trade

Protecting all our borders

Selling things we've made !

The UK is a  UNION

Just like the USA

Scotland - Northern Ireland

Wales and England now today

We all belong to EUROPE 

That's the safest place to be

And best for trade - for things homemade

So I am voting - OUI !

Und JA !  y SI !  OK

  • Comment from author about the poem: THE UK IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF EUROPE - SO WE ARE IN EUROPE WITHOUT VOTING ! If one looks at the arguments - pro & cons - of our continued membership of the EU we are much stronger in than out in many ways, Economically - defense - culturally & scientifically - freedom of travel and combating international terrorism. We are an island (which has advantages !) but we don't want to be isolated ! Asking the UK does it want to leave the EU is a bit like asking TEXAS does she want to leave the USA (perhaps that's not a good analogy ?). If you have a vote - please vote YES for the UK to remain a full and very influential member of the EU - Thanks BRIAN

        Btw check out Belgium; free college, lowest crime rate ever, Nobel prizes, the only popular monarchy left in the world, (which means they have an actual King, and it, like, actually works out) and the best chocolate on the entire damn continent.
