Seance for a Lost Love

BruisedApple

Now picture us,
Thinking of you,
Sat round the table,
For the seance at two.

Speak to those whose have left,
Those who never were,
Those who escaped birth,
And departed the earth.

The living can speak,
But don't understand life,
Does it show that I'm weak,
That I look for advice,

From a different world,
Where maybe you and I,
Can start again
At rebuilding at life.

The best that you had,
It's been and it's gone,
It's all behind you
Now those days have gone.

So picture me,
Thinking of you,
Lost in the darkness
Here without a clue.

A directionless man,
In never ending decline,
Dreaming of days
When you were still mine.

I look to sky,
The heavens for advice,
The hell that is earth
Now that's my real life.

Don't picture me,
I won't think of you,
The time it has come
To do what I have to do.

HI BA - Great first poem ! Good metre easy to read and recite and a consistent rhyme pattern xaxa - xbxb etc. Love the theme - LOST LOVE - something we all experience and as you say we will try anything (even a seance !) to recover a lost love. Thanks for sharing - BRIAN
