absoluteambiguity

March 15 2016

Intoxicated
to numb the taste
of you from my lips

i try to numb the pain
yet i wake up emptier
than i did before

Slowly poisoning myself
To remove the venom
You left inside

April 5 2016

Heart heavy
Like a ton of bricks
When I heard your voice

I was okay until you
Decided to walk in and out
Of my life
Without any concern
For me

I felt empty
So I called
For you to fill me again
Only to leave me
Emptier than before

HI AA - Welcome to MY POETIC SIDE - nice site - nice poems - nice people. Liked your first poem which proves (in a way) that time does not heal ! Love gives us the best and worst of experiences. Loss of love (as you point out) leaves us "emptier than before". Thanks for sharing please check my poems - Thanks BRIAN
