Silent
Did I hurt your ego
With my ignorance
That make you restless
And haunted by sleepless nights
Did I kill your pride
With my silence
Causing you to lure out my anger
So I could speak to you again
But have you ever thought
About your action
When you shoved me away
From your side
You pushed me too far
And I drifted into the darkness
Struggling to stay afloat
In the sea of sorrow
I learned about my worth
Within your absence
Swallowing my stupidity
And choked with my guilty conscience
I found my spirit
Within the chaos you created
Fighting the rough storm
With my own strength
So never again
I'll comfort you with my love
And never again
I'll spit out a word for your amusement
Remember
You're the one
Who kept my mouth shut
When you denied my voice
With your prejudice

HI JESS - Welcome to MY POETIC SIDE - nice site - great poems - nice people. This is an awesome first poem about what "Silences Love". It is full of questions - full of pthos and written from your heart. For me "Love is comfort" and your lines "So never again - I'll comfort you with my love" speak of great pain "The agony of love". Thanks for sharing a very emotional and powerful love poem ! Please check my poems - BRIAN
Thank you Brian, appreciate your insight.
Jess: "you pushed me to far, and i drifted into darkness". That line will stay with me all day!
Thank you LaRose!
