If I could write poetry,
I'd have a lot to sayI would write more, talk less , not boring some that way
Perhaps write short stories,or maybe even long
Remembering the things I did and people that I love
I wouldn't write my life story ,as interesting it may not be
I would write about the things I love, the short traveling I've done
It wouldn't seem so glorified as some have travel more
As art has always been another passion as I'm sitting on the shore
I would paint as far as my eye could see
as my mind would wander thinking of the phase still used this day
'art is in the eye of the beholder' what else can I say
Passion and poetry races through my head
I can see so much , as I scribble sitting on my bed
I see pictures and words ,like colors in my head
The sunrise and glory stars, which we see most everyday
The things in life we take for granted ,or does it just seem that way
************************************
Most of all I can recall, the sweet and comforting things
left behind the bitter things , much nicer ones I find
my children playing in the fields, no harm is being done
They laughed , they cried those happy tears
some others cannot find
*******************************
When day turns to night and their safely in their beds
What better feeling can one find dancing in your head
So if I could write poetry, whether small no fancy thing
I would write just happy thoughts,I know that I could bring
**************************************************

WELCOME LOUISE - LOVE YOUR POEM AND YOUR PICTURE ! YES You can write poetry and this is beautiful because (like all good poems) it's about everyday things ! Your life - art - everyday things we take for granted - sunsets and the stars. Sweet and comforting things - like children at play ! We have a lot of sad poetry on MPS but you have shared happy things and you have made us all happy. Please write some more ! Yours BRIAN
