F LAMENCO - fast and furious - full of emotion
L ovely combination of soulful singing
A symbiosis of weeping guitar - wonderful dresses
M esmerising dancing - feet of quicksilver
E verytime I experience Flamenco I am moved to tears
N owhere but the heart of Southern Spain ......
C ould produce such music. Blend of Moorish
O verlaid with the angst and anguish of SPAIN !

We had a Flemenco Concert a few weeks ago but nothing
compares with an evening recital in the heart of Andalucia !

- Comment from author about the poem: The GUITAR is one of earth's most beautiful and versatile instruments and it has the added advantage of portability ! It is the foundation instrument of Rock & Roll and yet the classical guitar in the hands of Segovia or John Williams is as sweet as any violin. Country Guitar is another awesome genre as is Jazz Guitar. The Flamenco Guitar is in class of its own. Complementing the pathos in the songs and providing a fitting accompaniment to the staccato of the dancing. Flamenco dresses in full flow have to be seen to be believed ! If you have never experienced Flamenco in the flesh you have missed out on one of the World's most unique and spectacular art forms. Yo soy un afficianado ! BRIAN
