BLUE

NMC1

"Blue"

It was loves undertow
dripping from the ocean blue of your
eyes to the tip of my lips as we
kissed in riptide.

Currents closer, forever fast
our love drifted away into
the past as lip-like rafts
are often built for dreamers.

True love is an ocean,
I am drowning in blue
Yet never more alive,
When drowning in you.

WELCOME NMC - Nice first poem - plenty of rhyme and rhythm. Makes it easy to read and smooth to recite ! Water is a good "medium" for a Love Poem. Ocean blue of eyes - riptide saltiness of lips and drowning in blue - drowning in you - awesome. Great structure and content - thanks for sharing - BRIAN

Thank you for your kind words Brian.

The ocean has always been my metaphor for all aspects of Life.

Please tell me what you feel about "Seasons" which I just posted.
