All our lovely Seaside Resorts are pristine and ready for visitors and our Mountains - Lake District - Snowdonia - Scotland and Ireland are perfect for walking holidays. THANKS LAUREN - It does not last long and seldom reaches 30C (= 85F) Warm and dry weather is important for outdoor sports like CRICKET (which lasts 5 days !) and Tennis and Athletics. Also Leisure Holidays like Sailing - Pony Trecking - Fell (Hill) Walking etc also require it ti be warm (20C +) and dry ! Yours BRIAN
Man it sound fun so is cricket wen u hit the ball thru the loop things or wats tht is it like basebal? Or ketching actual crikets ? Either way it sound like u mke ur summer time fun are there theme parks out there to
WELL LAUREN - You know what they say about "Msd dogs and Englishmen" "We go out and play in the midday Sun !" Hitting Balls though hoops id CROQUET ! CRICKET is where the BOWLER (PITCHER) tries to hit three sticks (wickets) stuck in the ground - there is another batsmen at the other end ! If the batsman hits the ball the two batsmen run up and down between the wickets. Each time they cross they score a run. Players are out if the ball is caught. If the ball reaches the edge without a bounce it's 6 runs with a bounce its 4 runs. There are 11 players in a Team and the team that scores most runs WINS. There are 5 day 3 day and 1 day versions. It's much more complicated than baseball which is why it takes at least a day. We play RUGBY in the UK but not much basketball which explains why we never win a medal in the OLYMPICS. If we introduced CRIKET into the Olympics it would have to last SIX Weeks ! It has nothing to do with catching crickets ! I once had 100 crickets in my Hotel Room in Abilene Texas ! Yes we do have theme parks with big amusemnet rides etc like DISNEYLAND ! Thanks BRIAN
