As I wake up and open my eyes
The sky is purple, pink and gold
I see a beautiful sunrise
And that sunrise's inside my soul
Inside my soul you can find
A lot of things all new and old
A thousand pretty butterflies
A thousand more romantic novels
And like a butterfly I fly
Towards the candle that is burning
I burn my wings but I don't cry
And as I fly the world keeps turning
And like a musketeer I
Defend my honor, pride and glory
I try to live the cleanest life
Just like the heroes in the stories
Inside my soul's summer day
Spent on the beach where I feel free
The water shimmers in sunrays
And dancing all around me
And as I look ahead my eyes
Can see the water and the sky
The bluest blue, the cleanest fine
They meet at the horizon line
Inside my soul are other things
Hot chocolate, candy bars, strong tea
My music, photographs and rings
The wind that sings songs to the trees
Inside my soul are snowflakes
Twirling around fluffy, soft
They're landing quietly on my face
And I am not wiping them off
So these are some though not all
I couldn't list all if I tried
The things that are inside my soul
they re forever, ever mine
