Kebiin

How can one hold

Such hate for one

But such compassion

For another;

While danger looms

He travels further down into the fray,

While all lightens up,

He grows darker in what is not seen.

A heart he may have,

But more corrupt it grows each day

Strength he may have,

But powerless is he against the enemy

  • Comment from author about the poem: For this being my first bit of poetry to publish on this site and at all realy, I don't know what to expect because I haven't ever really shared my work past my closer friends, but there will be more to come, because I've been saving my other works. So please give me you critics, I want to get better.

    WELCOME KEBIIN - An interesting first poem. It's a "free verse" poem but it has great rhythm because of its meter ! I like the title because the content of the poem is "polarised". In many situations we can have both hate and compassion and your poem explores this. The poem you have posted is well worthy of this site so please post MORE ! BRIAN
