- Comment from author about the poem: I love HAIKU (5 7 5 syllables) but often they are not long enough A SENRYU (5 7 5 7 7 syllables) is a Haiku with attitude ! Both my poems are about Ladies therefore I need an extra two lines to do them justice ! Thanks BRIAN
