At night,
When you lie,
At the back of your head,
A casket
With corrosive edges,
Feel it's gravity
Pulling on your muscles,
Let it's resin drip
And concatenate
With endless nerves.
Solitude provides safety,
What it is to hide,
Let go your solitude
And take solace
That we all dream.

WELCOME GRAEME - Thanks for an interesting first poem. At night my diffuse thoughts often coalesce into meaning (CONCATENATE). Solitude (in sleep) can appear to provide safety - but (in my case) dreams always intrude and disturb the solitude ! Thanks for the assurance that "we all dream !" A well penned "free verse poem" which pulsates with concepts and rhythms. BRIAN
