We let go of childhood, its toys and joys, to become older girls and boys
We let go of youth, to face a grownup world and life's truths
We let go of our home, to roam
We let go of friends and lovers to find others
We let go of our children, when they're grown, to be on their own
We let go of our stuff, when we have enough
And when we round the bend, to meet our end
All of it we leave, the past we can't retrieve
We let go of life itself
So know you know, life is letting go
Let it go, just let it go

WELCOME GG - Love the message in your first poem - the internal rhyme gives it great poetic pace (flow). "The moving doth write and having writ moves on" and so do we ! BRIAN
Thanks, Andy
Brian,
Thanks for your comments. I'm not a poet/hobbyist. I don't know if I'll ever get inspiration for another poem, so I won't be social networking here.
