Silencing Cries

pains_of-the_past

Silence they say to preserve the peace,

But they don't know how you feel inside.

You want to defend yourself and make things right,

but the time for that will never come.

Feeling lost and abandoned,

You turn to someone who says they care,

and says talk anytime,

but when the time comes to finally speak out,

you're turned down and are silenced forever.

I work in a College all our students are 16 plus and the constant cry in student councelling is "Nobody listens to me and if they do they don't hear what I'm saying." I agre with you often when you get an empathetic ear - IT IS TOO LATE ! thanks for sharing BRIAN
