A Journey to Luna-cy

lysistrata

I have wandered miles and miles.....

Where do I come from?

The rocks and the stars seem familiar!

Have I been here before?

I'd crawl on this edgy ground, proud,

Then wait your tidal forces to wash over my dusty cloud.

I'd lay my wounds bare underground,

Then invite your salty tears to make all the sound.

Go on,cry your heart out.....

I had an espresso gelato and then ice lemon tea, because it is too hot here....
And realized that my literary mentor,Elizabeth Bishop, has written "Insomnia". It is 10.000 times better.
Damn,I should have read it first. But how much could a single mind achieve during a lifetime?!

THANKS FOR SHARING LYSIS - There is only a thin line between LUNACY and NORMALITY and it is easily crossed over ! For me (whom some consider mad !) reading poetry is always CATHARTIC - writing it even more so. I guess this is why I love this interactive site ! Thanks for caring - Yours BRIAN

Lysis, I believe there is always a light at the end of a tunnel. Your poem provides that light. Thank you for dedicating your poem to those who need that flashlight to help them surface beyond their lunacy. ~ Sonia
