Why can't you love me?
I'd do anything for you
Do you feel you're above me?
Or do you yearn for someone new?
Why must I suffer
From your cruel ways
I thought you were my lover
But you've been gone for days
I gave you all I had
I changed myself for you
And it only made you mad
There is nothing more I can do

Oooooh KATHERINE another "cri de coeur" I hope you find it cathartic ! Love the structure of the poem ! I can empathise because I have had an S /O (significant other) who - didn't really love me - took me for granted and I could never please her ! Thinking of you every blessing - Yours - BRIAN
It certainly is cathartic-Nothing is better than putting feelings into words. He has been completely ignoring me for eight days, and, being a sensitive person, I'm ready to write a whole book of poetry about him.
