Let Me

Eeva

Let me go,

I'm not a baby.

Let me leave,

I'm not a child.

Let me have a life,

I'm not dead.

Let me see the world,

I'm not blind.

Let me have a friend,

I'm not shy.

I want to live,

Not to die.

Thanks for sharing EVA - Lovely poem in structure "Let me - I'm not" repetition which reinforces the message "Let me have a Friend ~ I'm not shy ~ I want to live ~ Not to die !" Through life well meaning people - Parents - Siblings - Friends - Partners etc do try to suffocate us and keep us in the nest instead of letting us try our wings ! Every blessing for the future - Canada is a very big Country ! Yours BRIAN

    A very honest poem.
