His selfish love

niknak4186ukmanc

I thought of you a little less today with hope a little less tomorrow..

For as many thoughts or in-between seemed no end to this paining sorrow..

Call it intuition because I feel it in my gut that for each new day it's more about me and less about us

It's hard to let go .. I love deep and I love hard..Yet my biggest lesson learned was to take care of my own heart.

I've always felt a piece of me was missing ,but it was me clenching onto past mistakes  reminiscing.

I'm almost done now its time to turn the page. Life an love got it all twisted in this day and age.

WELCOME - Thanks for sharing such a personal poem but sad poem from such a lovely lady ! Love the construction of the poem pulsating with rhyme & rhythm as befits the subject. We all find "breaking up" hard to do but in my experience there is a time to "turn the page" and get on with life. More poems please ! YOURS BRIAN
