I dislike fake people and that is a fact,
Trying to fit in with the popular crowd,
And yet it's not possible to change who you are,
So just be yourself and be who you are.
Those people who try to fit in,
Try to hard to be who they aren't,
And they think it's a good thing,
Yet it is wrong in their heart.
So that's why fake people disgust me so,
With their hearts being one thing and their heads refusing,
They joke, laugh, and play,
Yet it isn't right.
'Cause these are fake people
With their heart telling otherwise.

Thanks EVA - I am who I am and you are who you are. I write from my heart and from my own experience ~ that is the best type of poetry. Lots of the poems on MPS are from the heart and experiential so we know they are not fake. Love your poem and its sentiments. Thanks for caring - Yours BRIAN
