A memory of discomfort

amosj

Recollection of memory haunting like ghosts, flooded with thoughts of the undeniable hosts. Pale and slim with little dry food, ignoring the feeling of the stomachs craving mood.

Dreary feelings encouraging gloom, in need of a quiet  place to banish my mental monsoon.

Caught on hooks, with my struggling legs, all motivation is lost like the poor man that begs. Howling deeply to the depths of despair, there is no one but dismissal because caring is rare.

Galavanting in the brain that breeds the senses, revising my body to engage in my ventures.

WELCOME AMOS - Thanks for an interesting first poem with lots of rhythm and rhyme and challenging recollections. Its surprising how our memories accentuate the negative and all but obliterate the positive ~ it happens to all of us ! Caring is rare - BUT - Our brains can be galvanised - our senses can be reborn and our body revised - enabling us to positively engage in ventures new ! Nice ending - thanks for sharing - BRIAN

Your recollection and reflection on depression
left me a very good impression...
Is it too good to be true?!
I am looking forward to the next one....

Thank you so much. I do try to display the depth of depression in a metaphoric sense so the poem highlights the discomfort in a more realistic way-I like it when my poems connect to feelings. It shows that we are all human and experience similar emotions, regardless of the type of emotion. Thanks again!
