Work 1

OliveSee

Non-stop espresso, drip

drink it down till the last, drop

Pause to check your email, flop

Wish soft sandals were in, flip

Next page, more origami, fold

Bad hand, deal- with it you're old

Over ripe bananas, wait for mold

No such sign of the futures end

type out your emails, hit send

Waiting on the clock to bend

Slowly eating away for time, end

WELCOME OLIVE - Thanks for a great first poem on the subject of WORK ! Love the structure of your poem ~ pulsating with rhyme and rhythm ~ sounded (when read loud) like a manual typewriter ~ workin' 9 to 5 ! My ploy at work is too always "look" busy 9 t0 5 especially if they have CCTV ~ Big Brother is always watching you these days. Thanks for sharing ~ more poems please ~ Yours BRIAN
