Like You

IAmJaz

I'll never be able to taste the sweet sensation of maturity

If I allow my blood to boil in the same pot as yours

My tongue to spit the same fire as yours

Actions to roll downhill in the same manner as yours

I can't afford to lose myself while becoming like you

I'll never feel the warmth of being at home

If I give my soul permission to become lonely

My socialism to be flushed into the shifting salt waters of the world

Self esteem shunned and ignored

I'll die young if I lose myself while slowly becoming like you

I'll always be depressed

If I become Misery's number one company

Second guessing is a permanent part of my diet

And hate fills every vessel in my body

You won't even exist

If I allow myself

To become like you

Don't second guess, be yourself. Beautiful!
