EINGANG ~ We were IN (1973)
AUSGANG ~ We are OUT (2016)
Forty-three years of togetherness
Sacrificed in a day of recklessness !
EUROPE O EUROPE how my heart
Cries for you ! Continent of diversity
Playground of the bold and beautiful.
Scotland the Brave wanted to stay
N Ireland the Beautiful wanted to stay
Wales the Land of Song sang ~ NO NO NO !
England ~ who should have known better
Also (on the day) shouted NO NO NO !
David Cameron is an Honourable Man
The Country has not rejected him
BUT we have rejected our Mother Continent
EUROPE ~ whom we still love ~ and
Whom we still respect. We won't close ......
The Channel Tunnel or sell our time shares
In Spain & France & Italy and elsewhere
But sadly the "Little Englanders" have forced
A divorce and as in 1939 ~ we are
ALONE AGAIN NATURALLY ~ AMEN.
Thanks for reading ~ Comments welcome ~ Yours heartbroken ~ BRIAN

- Comment from author about the poem: The people have spoken I ~ for one am really heart broken. The Old voted to go away The Young voted to stay. Sadly the Old will fade and die We will be left alone to cry. Plucked still young from Europe's arms No Bells of Joy - just loud alarms ! UK ~ RIP Alone again naturally ! Please please pray For the UK ~ TODAY !

Stunning events! The markets were decimated. Who knows for how much longer? Other than the US, I wonder what this does in terms of Great Britain's military allies. Trump is grinning like the Cheshire Cat. He thinks this is his springboard into the White House. God help us! Anyway, thanks for sharing Brian.
