The World Outside

Daniel

Step back and still yourself
And look through refreshed eyes
Look beyond the ignorance
The hatred and the lies
See the world for what it is
And not how you’ve been taught
Now tell me what you see my friend
Does the world still look so dark

You missed a (?) right at the end.
I followed your instructions and the World Outside looks Black & White.
    Which side are you on?

    • Daniel

I'm definitely in the grey, everything is open to interpretation. Life is too full of colour to just be black and white.Thank you for your comment.

      Hi Daniel,
Nice rhyme and flow to your words and a good message, we have to look beyond all the things you mentioned, only then can we
see the beauty that is our world...
Enjoyed the reading.. Thank you.. regards...Dee

WELCOME DANIEL ~ Thank you for the challenge in your first poem. Planet Earth is probably unique in our Galaxy. Consequently if we look beyond the "Inhumanity of Man to Man" (as indeed we must) then we see "All things Bright & Beautiful" ~ and everything is beautiful ~ in its own way. In the UK we have had a Brit Ben Peake orbiting in the Global Space Station and every day Ben has been showing us just how beautiful Planet earth is from space. So I'm looking at it through Ben's eyes and it is indeed Bright & Beautiful ! Thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN
