You're favorite flower

I'm glad to be able to place a flower in your hair.
You're favorite one you'd always wear.
I'm proud to wear our token of love
Proof you can get the things you dream of.


Until the last drop of the rain
After the stars fall down
You will forever stay
I can never be lost because you're found


Late night chatters on the sand
Waves whispering to our feet.
Frank Sinatra knew about romance
And you flew me to the moon indeed

Flowers hide before they bloom
So love them when they flourish
Spring has left me much too soon
The fall has brought it's gloom.

Flashing lights and eerie sounds
They opened the doors and wheeled you out
Chest compressions, hooked IV
Stay with me love, please don't leave
I'm not too good at eulogies

I'm glad to be able to place a flower in your hair

How's the view from up above.

    WELCOME DARRON ~ Thanks for your first poem. Well structured ~ five rhyming quatrains (Verses 1 2 3 4 6) and one pentain (V 5) longer for obvious reasons. The content (as you say) is sad. Each stanza is a beautiful expression of the Joys of Love. Stanza 5 is very tragic but (in my opinion) necessary because it puts the poem into context ~ and justifies the visual ~ OK. I trust you found sharing this poem very cathartic. Thanks for caring & sharing ~ BRIAN

      Thank you very much Brian! I've never shared any of my work before even with family I'm a very private person. It encourages me to be less about writing.

        Thank you Dee, the kind words truly mean a lot to me. I'm very insecure about my writing and I told Brian the other person to comment this that I didn't even let my family know I write, writing is very personal, you really do put a piece of your soul into it.
