The fall of man

Darronbry91

I crawled through life alone and sad
Lived inside my mind
There's no happiness to man
I'm curious to why

A man can own the world alone
But than he'll want the stars
Greediness lies in the soul
Of men near and far

No more time for family
Parents need to work
Teachers raising children now
Or is it the church

It's okay if you are wrong
If feelings weren't hurt.
Never mind if truth is gone
Just cover it with dirt

Love has lost, romance is gone
But there's an app for that.
Talk through text instead of bond
Communication lacks.

The fall of man will be our bride
No one seems to care.
Let the toxic fill our minds
Extinction would be fair.

Thanks DARRON ~ God created Adam & Eve perfection. However Man was greedy ~ not just for apples but everything. Technology has made us all less human and will in the end destroy us. Love the structure of your poem ~ elegant. The subject ~ The continuous fall of man ~ inevitable. Thanks for caring and sharing ~ Yours BRIAN

Thank you Brian, this is actually an old poem from a time I was in a dark place and couldn't see anything positive about the world because I was in turmoil after the worst year of my life.

Personally this is not my favorite poem, only because I was still learning how powerful having rhythm and prosody can take writing to a next level at the time and also didn't know how to make motion create emotion.

I really like this poem, you can definately sense your anger! It something many people (if not all) have experienced.
