Alone

TheYoungPoet

The voices inside your head

The hidden old you, crying for help

Tears fall down your face

As you sit in silence, hoping for this to be the end.

The people who should be saving you

Are blaming you

But you hold on

To that tiny glimpse of hope

That won't let you go.

He says he's here, when he's not

How can he be so selfish

To leave you all alone

In the darkness, the emptiness

Alone.

WELCOME TYP ~ THANKS FOR YOUR FIRST POEM. Nice structure ~ three neat free verse stanzas ~ each taking your story a step forward ~ sorry it's a sad one but it happens. S1. Crying for help ~ but hoping it will be the end. S2. Not being saved but blamed ~ still you hold on ! S3. Where is your Man when you need him ? Selfish He leaves you dark ~ empty ~ alone. This poem made me shiver with anger ~ Thanks for sharing ~ more please. Yours BRIAN

Allow me to add another ending:

    Alone.It's dark at Home
Alone, with the cat on my lap
A week dead after you gone.🐈

Keep writing,as Brian(33-UK- Single) told you....

I found a poem that I wrote 3 years ago and won a school competition and decided to start writing again so I'm still learning. Thank you for the advice xxx
